Blue was the color of Pitti

Fue mi primera vez en el Pitti, y como siempre en este tipo de eventos, lo mejor estaba lejos de la pasarela y los stands. Los visitantes, una muchedumbre de compradores, periodistas, bloggers y fotógrafos de street style aficionados (como yo), caminábamos de un espacio a otro en una bonita e improvisada coreografía. Debajo de un gran sombrero intentando salvarse del sol, estaba Tommy Ton atrapando los mejores looks. No me preguntéis porqué, pero al verlo me acordé del protagonista principal de la novela de Zadie Smith, El cazador de autógrafos. En lugar de firmas, Tommy atrapa y colecciona a los hombres mejor vestidos. Mirando las fotos que ya ha subido, estamos de acuerdo en una cosa: el azul fue el color de la edición 84 del Pitti. Por supuesto, el mejor look lo cazó él (dónde estaría escondido!). En una esquina, intenté durante un rato capturar los mejores estilismos y haciendo después la selección en casa, me di cuenta que casi todos eran azules. Así que aquí os dejo con todos los azules y una bonita frase que colgaba del stand de Adidas (donde conocí en primera persona la colección cápsula de Tom Dixon para la firma): “Un viajero también puede ser un dandy.” No podríamos estar más de acuerdo. #globalnomads para siempre.

For me it was first time at Pitti, and as always in that kind of events, the best was off the runway and the stands. The visitors, a crowd of buyers, journalists, bloggers and streetstyle photographers aficionados (like me), walked to one space to an another in a beautiful improvised choregraphy. Under a big hat trying to fight the sun, there was Tommy Ton spotting the best looks. Don’t ask me why, but he reminded me the main characther of The Autograph Man by Zadie Smith. Instead of autographs, Tommy catches pictures of the best editors and well dressed man. Looking forward at the pictures he has already uploaded at his site, we are agree about one thing: blue was the color of Pitti 84. Of course, he get the best look. In a corner, I was trying to catch some of the best outfits and making  later the selection after at home, I realised most of them are blue. So I put all the blues together and I added a nice sentence from the Adidas stand (were I met in person the interesting Tom Dixon capsule collection for the brand): «A traveller can also be a dandy». We couldn’t agree more. #globalnomads forever.
