Olia Hercules no entiende la cocina como un hábito. Para ella, cada plato acaba siendo una nueva experiencia. De origen ucraniano pero residente en Londres, Olia es una de las chefs más reconocidas en la red. Ha participado de forma activa en la creación de The Recipe Kit ­­–probando y escribiendo más de 400 recetas- , trabajando como freelance para revistas como Sainsbury’s & Jamie’s y apareciendo en el show Red, Hot and Hummy. ¿La clave de su trabajo? La visualización. El trabajo de Olia como estilista de comida queda presente en su cuenta de Instagram, retratando cada plato lleno de colores y texturas. Hablamos con ella para conocer la vida de una chef que recorre el mundo con sus recetas bajo el brazo.

Olia Hercules does not understand the kitchen as a habit. Every dish is an experience. Of Ukrainian origin but based in London, Olia is one of the most famous cooks in the Internet. She has participated actively in the creation of The Recipe Kit -preparing more than 400 recipes-. She has worked as a freelance for magazines such as Sainsbury & Jamie’s and has also appeared on the show Red, Hot and Hummy. Her key strategy? Visualization. Olia works as a food stylist as she claims on her Instagram, portraying every dish defined by colors and textures. We talked with her to have a glance into the life of a chef who travels the world with her recipes under her arm.

My favorite colors are…green I like the taste of… freshly-picked cucumber, warm from the sun I really feel at home… with lovely hospitable people I never travel without… my recipe notebook I like the smell of… ozone (during strong summer rains).

The best thing about being in movement is… being able to observe the unexpected My most appreciated finding is… my mum’s old recipe notes from when she was a university student I’m a chef because…I wanted to enjoy every single day at work The most stunning dish I have ever tasted… spaghetti ai ricci near the Vucciria market in Palermo Good food means to me… good ingredients and cooking with love Some good advice when you are in the kitchen… Clean, clean, clean.
