It happens every Spring. There’s one chosen colour that overshadows the others. All of a sudden the palette of the chosen one explodes and we find thousands of different shades in the street, in shop windows and in fashion magazines. In the past few years we’ve seen this happen to colours such as yellow or green. And as every other year blue was the safe choice. Some brave men reduced a few shades and explored klein blue, or cobalt, but that’s been it. Well, that is not the case anymore, as 2012 is the year of blue, so many different blues that navy (still elegant) is boring now.
The first evidence appeared in January when Ewan Mcgregor posed for GQ wearing blue suits by Simon Spurr, Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren or Gucci. The Scottish actor made it very clear: blue rocks.
And you better get ready for summer, cause as it gets closer, blue is going to get even lighter and much more electric. Before we finish, the fact that we only talk about suits today doesn’t mean blue is not THE colour even for casual looks. As we’ve said, it’s blue’s year: in suits, shirts, socks, scarfs, ties… Absolutely everything. Now go ahead and chose the Preventi shoes you like the most.
