Welcome to Preventi Shoes. We Are Global Nomads

The perfect pack for a weekend break

Ahora solo falta; desconectar y a volar!

The good weather seems to arrive and therefore the short breaks. One of the recurring questions that always comes to my mind is: What should I pack in my suitcase?

I’m sure that as a good global nomads, you are more than used to it, but we wanted to share a couple of keys with you so you can travel with style this summer.

A printed shirt. As we told you before, one of the hit trends for next season is the suit with a total print. We adapt this trend to our taste and we suggest expressing it through linen shirts. Which would be the best option for us? Without doubt: Etro.

A pair of jeans. Acne or A.P.C are our favorite firms for these types of clothe. We learned from our Global Nomad, Richard Haines, that his favorites are the Acne jeans. Both brands have a higher state-of-art fashion conception than the big brands specialized in jeans that we are used to.

A good pair of shoes. Whatever kind of destiny we pick, we will have to walk but with style. Leave those sneakers (even though Karl Lagerfeld continues insisting). Our Global Nomads are the best people who are going to advise us about which pair of Preventi shoes could be the best ones for a short break. Still, today we’ve chosen these pair of oxfords by Simon Jacomet.

A jacket. As spring gets closer, we stand for the trench as an ally for our short break. Going for the safe option like Burberry is too easy. And as a good Global Nomads as we are, we love to risk and innovate. That’s why we believe that a suede leather gabardine of the American designer John Varvatos is the perfect one for this occasion.

A pair of sunglasses. Regarding the accessories, a pair of sunglasses is an infallible thing. A quite time ago, Linda Farrow shook the scene of solar lens up and transformed something so simple and at the same time so boring as a pair of sunglasses in a veritable piece of art.

A scarf. Something so simple as a kerchief or a scarf in solid colors can make your look more elegant. So if we are standing for a printed shirt, we also want to choose a Lanvin cashmere kerchief in blue shades to give more simplicity and sophistication to our outfit.

A diary. Keel’s Simple Diary is the perfect option to write down everything that happens in your short break in a simple and original way. The artist Philipp Keel has collaborated with Taschen to create a diary in a two-way format: he is the one who asks you how are you today, what you have done, what things you’ve done during the day would you erase, imagine yourself in 10 years and draw a picture of yourself and an endless list of things that you wouldn’t imagine you would write in an ordinary diary. A different way to capture your experiences.

An app. We are not very fond of taking our smartphones during our idyllic short break, but we know that many of you are pro 3.0 and you cannot wait any second to Instagram any moment, so the best app for the short break is Runastic Pedometer. It’s a free app to know how many steps you have made, the distance travelled, the time and what’s more important: how many calories you have burned.

And, finally, the suitcase. In the last trends post, we said that the maxi bags for men would be a must for the next season. So that’s a great option. But we also love the suitcases of Globe Trotter. This firm has made a perfect re-design of the mythic baggage of the eighties.

These are our essentials to spend a peaceful weekend in any part of the world. All that remains is to disconnect and fly!
