Mike, Fabian, Dave and the Holstee Manifesto

¿Te gusta tu trabajo? A Mike, Fabian y Dave les encanta. En serio. Les gusta tanto, que decidieron publicar un manifiesto muy apasionado:

Cuando dejaron sus antiguos trabajos, estos tres chicos americanos tenían un plan: poner en el mercado una marca de ropa reciclada que además de vender productos, ofreciera sentido, significado: un «estilo de vida», como se dice hoy en día.

En el verano de 2009, meses después del lanzamiento, la marca era un proyecto pequeño. Habían vendido unos cuantos cientos de carteras y camisetas que familiares y amigos habían decidido adquirir de buena fe. (Si eres emprendedor, la historia quizás te resulte familiar…) En aquel momento, los tres se sentían «llenos de una energía muy pura, un puñado de emociones y un montón de ideas».

Para no olvidarse de aquello, Mike, Fabian y Dave se sentaron juntos en las escaleras de Union Square y trataron de recoger en palabras el puñado de emociones que les embargaba en ese momento:

«No se trataba de camisetas ni tampoco de nuestros antiguos trabajos. Se trataba de lo que queríamos hacer en nuestras vidas y de la empresa que queríamos crear: una compañía que compartiera esa pasión con el mundo, cada día. Aquel manifiesto era un recordatorio de como queríamos vivir».

«In the heat of the recession in May 2009, brothers Mike and Dave and their partner, Fabian started Holstee. More than a company, or clothes, the trio wanted to create a lifestyle. Starting in the summer of 2009 they dove head first into the world of design and production».
