Paul Smith podrían haberse forjado una carrera como ciclista, pero un grave accidente en su adolescencia truncó su deseo. Como alternativa, tras pasar seis largos meses en el hospital, decidió ganarse la vida abriendo una pequeña tienda en Nottingham. Hoy en día Sir Paul Smith es uno de los diseñadores más importantes del Reino Unido y se ha convertido en una auténtico icono de la moda. Pero ello no ha hecho que olvidara nunca su pasión por el ciclismo, y a lo largo de estos años ha ido coleccionando materiales y entrevistándose con celebridades del sector.

Ahora Paul Smith ha reunido todo el material con el que cuenta en Paul Smith’s Cycling Scrapbook, una deliciosa publicación editada por el experiodista de deportes de The Guardian Richard Williams y que reúne detalles de su colección de camisetas, su biblioteca de publicaciones de ciclismo de los años 50 y 60 y detalles de su amistad con estrellas de las dos ruedas como David Millar, Bradley Wiggins y Mark Cavendish. Naturalmente, también hay espacio para el mítico mallot rosa de Giro de Italia que diseñó en 2013.
