Find a different and charming place to eat in New York is not easy. The big chains, the restaurants for tourists or those who sell a false cosmopolitan luxury, where credit card suffers, plague the city. Against this, the Russian restaurant Mari Vanna is like an oasis. A secret spot hidden in Park & Bway.
Born in Moscow, and later extended to St. Petersburg, the owners decided to export all the charm of Russia to the other side of the Atlantic. Tablecloths of thread and lace, dinnerware made of porcelain and decor midway between palace and bazaar, melt with the traditional cuisine of deep flavors and delicate scents. Generous portions of beef stroganoff, vareniki, Kiev-style chicken or the exquisite blinis with caviar or smoked salmon. All wrapped in a beautiful atmosphere, like a doll’s house.
The average price per person, with a starter, main dish, dessert and drink is around 45 €. A place to discover and repeat. Russian hospitality between skyscrapers.
