En el corazón de Marais se encuentra este templo del té. Mariage Frères fue fundada en 1854 por dos hermanos, herederos de la tradición familiar de buscar las mejores plantas de té desde el siglo XVII por todos los rincones del mundo. Pasión, elegancia y refinamiento se unen en la tienda-salón más antigua de París.
Entre la amplia variedad dispuesta en sus estanterías se esconde una auténtica joya, el té blanco sagrado. Traído de las altas montañas de China, durante siglos estuvo limitado a la familia imperial y su corte, ya que se consideraba concedía larga vida. Su consumo estaba prohibido al pueblo bajo pena de muerte. Mujeres con finos guantes y tijeras de oro siguen cortando en la actualidad estos brotes sagrados de sabor único. Hoy podemos comprar este “caviar” de los tés, sin miedo a perder la cabeza, en lugares mágicos como este. Eso sí, su precio es digno de emperadores, 340 € los 100 gramos. Lujo asiático en el corazón de Francia.

Mariage Frères was founded in 1854 by two brothers, heirs to the family tradition of seeking the best tea plants all over the world since the 17th century. Passion, elegance and sophistication come together in the oldest tea house in Paris, in the heart of the Marais.
Among the wide variety placed on the shelves is a hidden gem, sacred white tea. Brought from the high mountains of China, for centuries was limited to the imperial family and court, as it is considered that granting long life. Its use was forbidden to people under sentence of death. Women wearing fine gloves collect the sole pekoe of the imperial harvest with golden scissors, taking care not to harm the shoots. Today we can buy this “caviar” of teas, without fear of losing our head, in magical places like this. Of course, its price is worthy of emperors, 340 € / 100 grams.
